I am the creative editor of a magazine!!! Esther is a Christian woman’s magazine, written by women, about women, for EVERYBODY!! We’re going to launch our website in the summer, but for now we have a facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/EsthersMag & a twitter: @EsthersMag

We are all very excited about this. We thank God that we’ve even got this far, we hope to reach many people & hope that in all things Christ will be the centre & we will reflect Him. But it’s just the beginning, our main site will be launching in July. In the meantime you can look forward to: giveaways, events, art, news, giveaways, devotions, health & lifestyle tips, giveaways, music, GIVEAWAYS!!

This is a snippet of our first post (written by me):

For as long as I’ve been in church, dress has been a hot topic. When a woman is picking out her church outfit there are a number of things she must consider:

  • length (sitting and standing)
  • cleavage
  • tightness
  • how much arm/shoulder is on show
  • can it be worn with jumper/cardigan/blazer/jacket?
  • is it too casual?
  • is it actually nice?

shopping for church outfits isn’t the easiest of tasks especially as the fashion world doesn’t accomadate for it. [This is not an excuse] And we do it all for our beloved brothers. The ones that have such a hard time dealing with lust; in the world they’re bombarded with images of scantily clad women in seductive poses that beg them to look in places that’ll cause them to adulter. So of course, when they come into church, it is our job, as their keepers, to offer an alternative. I’ve accepted that as a woman, I need to help the brothers out a little bit, but are they helping me?
